Quality assessors from the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission will be visiting us on 2 May 2019 to check the quality of care and services we provide to our clients.
The assessor will visit our office and clients, volunteers and staff will have the opportunity to meet with her to talk about the quality of care and services we provide.
This Review will look at meals, group social support and individual social support which are the three areas of our work.
The Commission records our services as;
Meals - the service provides frozen delivered meal service to approximately 180 care recipients in the region.
The service also manages a group and individual social support program for over forty care recipients.
Services are supported by staff and a dedicated volunteer workforce that work across meal delivery and/or the social support programs.
Social support programs - Out and About is a group social support program that offers a pick-up service for care recipients to enjoy a day out with friends and enjoy great activities and lunch.
The program operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Individual social support is offered throughout the week with volunteers who visit care recipients at home or take them shopping or to appointments.
We look forward to hosting the assessor from 9 am until 5pm.
